We are excited to announce that, thanks to your support, we have secured enough funds to begin acquiring some of the necessary equipment for our new cafe!
The demolition of Auchenflower Stadium is currently underway. We appreciate the community's support and encourage everyone to continue backing the "Fuel the Players and Fans" campaign. Your contributions will help us create a fully equipped cafe in the new stadium!
As the BBI community knows too well, Auchenflower Stadium, the spiritual home of BBI and the “Caps” has been severely impacted by flooding over the last decade.
With Federal and State Government funding support, we are building a resilient future for Auchenflower.
The funding support, whilst fantastic, will not enable us to fully deliver our vision for a purposeful, quality venue that caters to our individual players, family and friends to the high expectation we have set ourselves to ensure a quality, comfortable, enjoyable basketball experience for all.
As well reported rising construction costs are impacting our ability to deliver the stadium redevelopment as desired.
We are launching this fundraising campaign with a goal to raise $200,000 to fit our our new café that will provide a quality food and beverage offering to our community 7 days a week.
We’re calling on the community to help us “Fuel the Players & Fans” with a quality café that can service the 275,000 annual visitors to Auchenflower Stadium.
We have a detailed, itemised costing from our project consultants for the catering equipment required to professionally fit-out our new café to ensure we can provide our community a variety of delicious hot and cold menu items and beverages serviced in an efficient manner.

The total cost of the equipment supply is $194,755 GST inclusive.
Our community can support our Fuel the Players & Fans campaign by making a donation to BBI’s Australian Sports Foundation fundraising platform.
All donations of $2 or more are tax-deductible.
In appreciation of donor’s valued contribution to realising our new Café vision, every donor who makes a $2 donation or more will receive one (1) free coffee upon the opening of the Café.
Every donor who makes a $100 or greater contribution will receive a donor recognition card that will entitle them to a 10% discount on purchases through the café until December 31, 2026. Excludes apparel and merchandise and the $5 bar.
Every donor who makes a $1000 or greater contribution will receive name recognition on a special honour board that will be prominently displayed in the Café entrance acknowledging and thanking our donors for their generous support and a Caps Season Pass for five years, from 2025 - 2029.
